Olivia Barbezat is a mental health counselor who has extensive experience working with diverse and multicultural backgrounds. Olivia has worked in hospitals, clinics, and private settings providing mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. Olivia has experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
Prior to joining the SFCS family Olivia worked as a psychotherapist at Four Winds Hospital where she worked with acute short term individuals in crisis and an outpatient, private practice setting..
Olivia aims to develop a collaborative safe space where individuals can feel validated and empowered. By taking an empathetic person centered approach, Olivia ensures clients know they are not only being heard, but also cared about. Olivia draws information from multiple modalities to help individuals learn skills in a nonjudgmental manner. With expertise in mood disorders, adjustment disorders, life transitions, and behavioral symptoms, Olivia is able to provide support during difficult times
Olivia received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Oneonta, and her masters degree in mental health counseling from Iona University.
