Lianne Figueroa, LMFT
Lianne Figueroa joins the SFCS staff as a Youth Outreach Worker on the High School Level. Lianne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and she has worked in both the private and public sectors, providing therapeutic services to families, couples, and individuals including adolescents, adults, and elderly populations.
Lianne's background in systemic therapy enables her to collaborate with couples and families to examine solutions for managing stress together and explore connections between their current relationships and their upbringing. By utilizing modalities such as Structural Family Therapy and Internal Family Systems, Lianne has been able to support clients with a variety of presenting mental health concerns allowing them to enhance their understanding of self, improve their relationships and develop their coping strategies.
In her past employment settings, Lianne worked with cancer survivors of African American and Latin American decent providing supportive and inclusive services such as Spanish support groups, grief and bereavement services and groups for individuals and families facing end-of-life issues.
Lianne received her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, and her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Iona University.
