Donna Abemayor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined the SFCS staff in August, 2024 as a school counselor on the elementary level.  Donna has more than 20 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of mental health and substance use settings. 

Although Donna has worked with teenagers and young adults, she finds her passion is working with elementary age children.  Donna utilizes a variety of didactic, interactive and creative play techniques assisting children identify difficult situations and emotions, regulate behaviors and cope more effectively.  In addition to providing individual, group and family therapy services, Donna  delivered evidence-based social emotional learning curriculum to elementary-school aged students in a neighboring Westchester school district.  

Donna received her BA degree in Sociology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and MSW from Columbia University.
